Mostly footpaths and trails with uphill sections. Some sections of the paths will be a little uneven underfoot at times, some sections are likley to be muddy if there has been recent rain. We will take our time and stop to take in the views often!Time: 9.30am start for around 5.5 hours. Note we will meet by 9.15am to leave at 9.30am.Who is the event for: Everybody is welcome! (aged 18+)Who will be your guide?I’m Sara and I’m a Hill and Moorland Leader based in West Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District. I’m excited to share my love of adventure and the Peak District with you!Where we'll meet:We'll be meeting at Edale Car Park, Hope Rd, Edale, Hope Valley S33 7ZQ. There are bus services nearby (see Peak District Bus Timetable.)What to bring:Hiking boots or shoes with good gripSnacks or lunch to keep you happy and sustained for around 5 + hoursRucksackWater (at least 1L)WaterproofsWarm layers, hat and glovesA personal first aid kit with any medications or things you'd usually have on youOptional extras: Walking poles, sit mat, hot drinkWhat will the terrain be like?Mostly trails and footpaths, some uneven and rocky areas, some muddy sections. The first half will feel quite flat as we track around the reservoir, and the second half will involed a an acent up to the great ridge before heading down.Note about Toilets:There are toilets at the car park. There won't be any along the way after that on the walk so we may have to embrace ‘wild wees’ whilst we’re out. Safety and your participation:The core hope for my walks is that they are enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone so we will keep to a slow and steady pace. It's about taking in the views, learning about the area and being outdoors in nature. You are also responsible for your own health and safety and there can be risks with all outdoor activities. You'll be asked to complete a medical form a couple of days before the walk to let me know of any medical conditions prior to the day. Every participant is required to complete this a minimum of 24 hours before the event begins.Whilst I plan and recce my walks, they are still be subject to route adjustments where weather or other route condtions change in the days leading up to or on the day of your event. Any alterations are to ensure your safety and ensure you still get an enjoyable time out.I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and Outdoor First Aid trained so will be on hand in case of an emergency.Dogs:Dogs are more than welcome to come along, however, there may be roads, livestock and other dogs around, so they'll need to be on a lead for parts of it.Refund Policy*:Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled.Weather:This walk will be going ahead whatever the weather, unless I decide that the conditions will be dangerous.
